Mr. Azimi sits on the Investment Committee of Flight Lease Funds. Mr. Azimi brings over 25 years of private equity and fund management experience.
Mr. Azimi is the Founder and Managing Partner of Vanterra Capital. Founded in 2009, Vanterra Capital is a leader in building specialized investment platforms. Previously, he was a Principal at New York Life Capital Partners, a $14B PE firm where he developed and spearheaded the “Small and Emerging Manager” seeding strategy, an initiative designed to build specialized investment funds globally. Previously, he was an Associate at Lightyear Capital and of UBS/PaineWebber Capital. Mr. Azimi earned a B.S. with dual concentrations in Finance and International Business with Honors from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. as a Beta Gamma Sigma graduate from Columbia Business School.
