Donal Lowry

Mr. Lowry joined Flight Lease as a Director in 2021. Mr Lowrey brings over 40 years’ aviation experience. Prior to joining Flight Lease, Mr Lowry held Chief Technical Officer (CTO) / Senior Advisor roles with blue chip leasing companies, including Orix Aviation Systems, DAE Capital and Elix Aviation Capital, where he was instrumental in shaping optimized asset management procedures.
Mr. Lowry has led and negotiated the technical aspects of sale and leaseback agreements, aircraft purchase agreements, power-by-the-hour arrangements with OEMs, and lease return conditions. Over the course of his career, he has been responsible for the management of more than 2,000 aircraft worldwide, spanning narrowbody, widebody, and regional fleets.
Trained as an aircraft engineer, Mr. Lowry has held licenses and approvals on both Boeing and Airbus aircraft and previously served as Chairman of the Dublin Branch of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
